The search for effective drugs against the coronavirus is ongoing worldwide – also in the BSL3 high-security laboratory in Graz. Thick protective suits, safety locks and disinfectant showers are the order of the day for the researchers from Innophore, Acib and Med Uni Graz. Innophore’s research focuses on building a preclinical drug database and cell culture experiments with existing drugs. Innophore is one of the few companies to record growth in the digital enzyme search business of its Cathalophore database in these times. An initial preclinical development phase in collaboration with technology partners at Harvard also appears promising.
