WIRELESS MONTENEGRO

As the first private-public partnership company in the country, Wireless Montenegro is responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the digital government radio network in Montenegro. In several expansion phases, the company will ensure long-term and almost complete network coverage of Montenegro until 2036 and beyond. The focus is on converting all police units from analog to digital radio. The TETRA network is a state-of-the-art technology that meets the highest standards for critical communications, guaranteeing secure communication channels and maximum reliability. The use of network management systems for monitoring, recording and interpreting environment- and site-specific data ensures the smooth operation of the network.

A 24/7 service, with three dedicated teams, is directly on-site at the police department, taking care of the continuous functioning and maintenance of the system. Currently, police forces, fire departments, national park administrations and local municipal authorities use the radio network for joint communication. There is also the possibility of making the communications network, which was most recently expanded in 2018, available to other public organizations and large commercial operations. The project is being implemented through both EOSS Group’s own funds and the Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank AG (OeEB). The fact that Wireless Montenegro is the largest project supported by OeEB alone underlines the importance of Wireless Montenegro’s activities.
